The following images are all painted from a photo using the brush tool in Adobe Photoshop. I am still early in the process of turning photos into painting the same way I do the Pet Portraits, I use the same techniques and it seems to work better then I imagined. If you want a photo restored I can make it happen and keep the integrity of the image intact. The images below are a few examples of completed portraits. I included the original images so you can see the changes made in the process.
The original photo is slowly fading away, so I wanted to try my best to restore it. When I zoomed in on the original photo I realized it was all a series of dots, so that added another challenge to the project.
As you see in the original photo to the left I adjusted the background to more of a prairie or open field feeling. I added a little more color to the overall image and tried to capture the carefree feeling from the original. The final portrait was printed on 16" x 30" canvas.
